Eric Kohn is a freelance film critic who writes the weekly newsletter The Playhouse Post and hosts the weekly podcast Movie People, both of which are published by the Southampton Playhouse, where he serves as artistic director. He contributes to other publications, including The Hollywood Reporter and the London Telegraph. For nearly 20 years, he worked as a film critic and editor for IndieWire. He served as NYFCC chair in 2018 and 2019. In addition to his writing and programming, he teaches film criticism at NYU.
