Alissa Wilkinson has been the film critic at Vox since September 2016. Prior to joining Vox, Alissa spent a decade writing for a variety of publications, including Christianity Today, RogerEbert.com, Rolling Stone, Vulture, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Paste, Books & Culture, Pacific Standard, Thrillist, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and others. Alissa is an associate professor of English and humanities at The King’s College in lower Manhattan, where she teaches criticism and cultural theory, and a writing fellow with the Sundance Institute’s Art of Nonfiction program. She lives in Brooklyn.
