Alissa Wilkinson is a critic and senior culture reporter at Vox, where she’s been a staff writer since 2016. Her work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Vulture, RogerEbert.com, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Bon Appetit, Eater, and many other places, and she was a 2017-18 writing fellow with the Sundance Institute’s Art of Nonfiction initiative. In addition to her writing, she’s an associate professor of English and humanities at the King’s College in downtown Manhattan, and she’s the author of Salty: Lessons on Eating, Drinking, and Living from Revolutionary Women (Broadleaf, 2022) and We Tell Ourselves Stories (Liveright, forthcoming).
